So I think we'll let S's 'real' stories be your little secret ;-)Chandreyeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04630831559826829910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2717575937435064970.post-52324877364051921112012-09-07T01:41:34.304-04:002012-09-07T01:41:34.304-04:00Enjoyed reading this, Chandreyee! Some day I'll tell you the *real* story of what all S did over there ... or maybe it's best that you never find out. :)Namithttp://blog.shunya.netnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2717575937435064970.post-55879873877925542282012-09-02T02:57:46.328-04:002012-09-02T02:57:46.328-04:00I think we have a mutual admiration society formin...I think we have a mutual admiration society forming right here...I'm relatively new to blogging, and amongst a lot of junk in the 'blogosphere' (oops politically incorrect alert) your posts really strike a chord with me.

I agree it's a good topic to explore...also is it really due to 'natural leanings' or is it social conditioning? While women have (had?) the luxury of exhausting themselves mentally, maybe men feel they should 'occupy their time more productively'. And is that thought process even relevant today with the gender 'roles' virtually disappearing both on the work and home front, at least for a section of educated, forward-thinking individuals?

Damn you've got me thinking, and I like it! I'm adding you to my 'blogroll' or whatever.
Amritahttp://ramblesofaninsomniac.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2717575937435064970.post-37204360206857499132012-09-01T16:36:37.039-04:002012-09-01T16:36:37.039-04:00Hahaha ... thanks for sharing! Funny thou...Thanks Amrita, and true, re: long dist. Funny though is'nt it, how differently these fears play out between genders? My freind Nan wondered if the guys "are really that secure or just shut their minds more effectively against uncomfortable thoughts about situations they can't control?".

I agree with her that many guys are like my hubby and would decidedly NOT 'hyperventilate under the comforter' in a similar situation. This is a generalization, of course....it takes all kinds.

Might be a good bloggy topic? How and why women are capable of plumkbing the depths of their feelings, choices and thoughts with resultant mental exhaustion when men skate lightly over the thin ice, with a song on their lips and not a care in their hearts (relatively speaking). I'm not judging eitherL there are distinct pros and cons of both approaches. I'm just curious as to why we each have these natural leanings.

BTW, really like your blog. We think much alike on many things and you've uncovered the tips of many icebergs I've wanted to visit. I'd like to trackback to your posts if and when I get to those topics.Chandreyeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04630831559826829910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2717575937435064970.post-62556309148338529562012-08-31T06:50:33.603-04:002012-08-31T06:50:33.603-04:00Captures the aspects of 'long-distance-relatio...Captures the aspects of 'long-distance-relationship' irrational fears so well!
